Retrospect, the brilliant debut from Alexia Parenzee, is a moody exchange of storytelling and reflection. The 5-track EP unfolds with tender words on the closing of friendships, aging into grey hair and inner-wisdom, and feeling a deep sense of connection to the land we live on.

Influenced from a decade of intrepid travels, and written over the course of the past few years, ‘Retrospect’ emerges as Parenzee’s stunning new body of work, boasting a depth of songwriting wit and richly emotive musicianship. Not to mention: those!! vocals!!

Retrospect compels you to turn the lights down low, burn the incense and sink in. It explores the seasons of change in human relationships, and boasts a self-awareness that comes from many hours of people-watching, and reflection, while traveling on public transport systems.

This EP is the accumulation of Alexia Parenzee and her band’s finest work, who together have spent the best part of 2 years re-working the songs to ensure these tracks were worth listening to in 10 years time lol.

Instrumentation produced by Parenzee’s 4-piece band - drum work by Rickie Glegg, melodic bass lines by Rhyce Elliott, lead guitar from Elias Harun and keys by James Softly.
